Christine Unger

Christine began dancing at the age of three. She fell in love with all things, performing, and quickly expanded to singing and acting as well. Throughout junior high and high school, Christine was part of the dance company at Arizona Dance Theater, and studied jazz, tap, ballet, and modern intensely. She performed all over the Valley with them, and danced in many professional gigs with their company.  She performed in musicals at many different theater companies, and played roles such as Cinderella in Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, the Sour Kangaroo in Suessical, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland. She also appeared in the ensemble in many shows throughout her high school years.

Christine was offered a full scholarship to study voice at Grand Canyon University, and graduated with her bachelor music with an emphasis in voice in 2005. While in college though, Christine taught at a few different dance studios around Phoenix. She has taught all ages and all levels of jazz, tap and ballet, and is passionate about passing on the art form to the next generations. Throughout the years, Christine has also taught drama, choreographed many different musicals, and worked with children of all ages in all different areas of the performing arts.

Christine has been married since 2006 and has five children of her own. When she is not teaching at Phoenix Dance Studio, you can probably find her running around town with her children.
