Samantha Gray

Ms. Sam started dancing at 3 and began her formal ballet training at New Jersey School of Ballet at age 8. She became a member of the New Jersey Ballet Junior Company in 2004, where she performed and toured with the New Jersey Ballet Company. There, she danced corps de ballet roles in Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Esmeralda, & The Nutcracker as well as soloist roles in the Nutcracker. She spent her summers at intensive programs including Kirov Academy of Washington DC, Joffrey Ballet San Antonio Workshop, Ballet Arizona, and American Ballet Theatre. She earned a BFA in dance from Dominican University of California/Alonzo King's LINES Ballet, where she performed original contemporary ballet works by Alonzo King, Maurya Kerr, Gregory Dawson, and Yannis Adoniou. Upon graduation, she moved to the valley and continued her training under Daniel Baudendistel. She joined Terpsicore Dance Company in 2011. She performed classical and contemporary ballet works and was honored to dance principal roles in The Nutcracker and Paquita. This will be her second season teaching at Phoenix Dance Studio.
