Where can I purchase dancewear?

Everything your dancer needs for class can be purchased at the PDS Store. We carry a large inventory of shoes, leotards, dancewear, and tights and are happy to order in what you require if we do not have it in your size. Visit our boutique during studio office hours and we will make sure your dancer has everything they need for class. You can also purchase dancewear online through Nathalie Dance CO.

Can my dancer try out a class before enrolling?

Yes, we offer a $10 trial week through November. Please contact us to arrange your class.

I missed fall registration in August, can I still enroll?

Yes, we accept new dancers throughout the school year, availability class spots permitting.

Can I observe dance classes each week?

At PDS we have a "closed class" policy and ask that parents watch their dancer thru CCTV streaming on large flat-screen TVs for parents to view in the lobby.  We love to have "parent observation weeks" towards the end of each session where we invite all of our parents in to watch, and in some cases even participate in class activities with their dancer.

My dancer is older and has no dance experience, are there classes for him/her?

We have classes for students of all ages and ability levels. Please contact us so we can help identify where the best place to start is.

Do you offer classes for boys?

Boys are welcome to enroll in any of our dance classes, we also offer a boys only hip hop class and a boys-only tumbling class.

Do you offer classes for adults?

For adults, we offer adult ballet, jazz, and tap. Dance is a great way to learn musicality, coordination, balance, and social skills at any age. We know adult life comes with many responsibilities and changing schedules which may not allow you to attend a regular class which is why our adult classes are offered on a drop-in punch card basis. Punch card prices are $59 for 6 hours of instruction or $106 for 12 hours of instruction. Punches can be mixed and matched between any combination of our adult class offerings.

Does my dancer participate in a recital?

A YEAR-END Performance is offered for parents and families to see what their child has learned through the programs.  This performance is designed to allow children to be in a comfortable environment where they have been learning all season.  Families will have the joy of seeing their child demonstrate their accomplishments. These are some of the most exciting experiences for our dancers and we do expect that everyone participates in the fun. Dancers work hard on beautiful choreography, they get to wear fancy costumes, and the parents get to see their children up on a big stage with professional lighting and sound! To add to the fun, each year we choose a theme for our Spring Showcase which builds excitement and adds a cohesiveness to the show.

Plan on extra rehearsals during the week leading up to each performance, and we ask that you please prioritize these rehearsals and shows. We will give you the information that you need to know, as early as possible to help with your scheduling.

What is PDSPro Company?

Our award-winning competition program is for dancers who are looking for a higher level of dance education, to continue on to dance professionally or go on to pursue dance in college. Dancers in our Competition Company put in the most hours in the studio, learn show-stopping dance routines, perform locally, and compete regionally and nationally. There are opportunities to work with guest artists in the studio, and even take master classes from professional dancers and choreographers who are currently working in the industry. Placement is by audition, and dancers are expected to dance with Phoniex Dance Studio year-round to maintain their technique and keep their competitive edge.
